Reader comments on "old" games continue to supplement our understanding of them. I read all comments, no matter how old the entry. I will delete these on a case-by-case basis depending on my interpretation of what constitutes a "slur."Īlso, Blogger has a way of "eating" comments, so I highly recommend that you copy your words to the clipboard before submitting, just in case. Comments on my blog are not a place for slurs against any race, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or mental or physical disability. Please at least mention "ROT13" in the comment so we don't get a lot of replies saying "what is that gibberish?"ĥ. I appreciate if you use ROT13 for explicit spoilers for the current game and upcoming games. Choose the "Name/URL" option, pick a name for yourself, and just leave the URL blank.Ĥ. Please avoid profanity and vulgar language. (For instance, that GOG is selling the particular game I'm playing is relevant that Steam is having a sale this week on other games is not.) This also includes user names that link to advertising.Ģ. Do not link to any commercial entities, including Kickstarter campaigns, unless they're directly relevant to the material in the associated blog posting. The action revolves around two main characters: Luxor and his son Morkin - they must eliminate the power of the evil Doomdark who is trying to control Midnight through his overpowering ice-fear and massive armies. At the start of the quest, there are four characters under your command, and as you explore you can recruit others. It is the innovative ?landscaping? feature and the highly original gameplay - you control several independent characters - which give the game its unique feel. The AI in this game is quite amazing for its time: you can raise armies, send NPCs out on separate tasks, and see the detailed world from multiple viewpoints, all in real-time. Like Mike Singleton's later and more complex Midwinterseries, RPG and strategy elements are combined with a truly epic fantasy story.
